Personalizing the files

The main reason to cut your own wedding stationery is control over wording, size, and color. Pre-printed stationery gives you fixed text and fixed dimensions. SVG files give you a shape you can scale to any size and cut from any color or texture of cardstock.

To add text, you type it directly in Design Space or Silhouette Studio, choose a font, and weld it to the cut path so the letters stay together during the cut. This is the step most beginners spend 15-30 minutes learning. After the first invitation run, the next project goes faster.

A few practical tips:

• Use a score and fold line on box templates rather than cutting all the way through. Both Design Space and Silhouette Studio support score lines; use a scoring stylus or bone folder attachment.
• Mirror HTV files before cutting for any fabric applications. HTV is cut face-down on the carrier sheet.
• Test on the same cardstock you plan to use for final cuts. Cardstock brands vary in stiffness, and a test cut on the real material saves a full sheet later.

Planning quantities

For a 100-guest wedding, plan approximately:

• 110 invitation sets (extras for addressing errors)
• 110 RSVP cards
• 15-20 table number cards
• 20-30 favor boxes per cutting run (cut time is about 3-4 minutes per sheet on the Explore Air 2)

A single 12x12 cardstock sheet holds 2-4 box templates depending on the size. Start cutting 4-6 weeks before the event to leave time for assembly, drying, and any reprints.

Getting the files into production

Download the pack, extract the SVG files, and upload to Design Space or import into Silhouette Studio. Resize by entering your target dimensions in the size panel. For multi-part projects (a box with a lid, a banner with individual letters), use the Attach function to keep spacing consistent across a single mat.
